It was certainly worth getting up at 5.00 am today to catch the sunrise along the River Thurne near Thurne Mill. After a short car journey and walk along the riverside path, I managed to arrive just before the sun came up when the river and mill were shrouded in mist with wonderful colours in the sky. The dawn chorus was amazing and there were swans on the river and a heron flying around which I captured on some of my photos. It was a magical experience in sight and sound.
